Life has no intrinsic purpose. Emotions can't be proven to be of any value.
If the civilization of humanity extinguish itself, then so be it. But if we can manage to preserve ourselves, then we can prove that, in this chaotic universe, sentient life forms can be self-preserving, breaking the Fermi's paradox.
Aiming to do that, to preserve humanity's existance, is my only long-term goal in life.
